grrrr just wrote a whole post and cancelled by mistake! lol

anyway I am 16 days psot op from upper/lower/genio. I was banded shut

2 weeks and the bands were removed this Monday. It is now Wed night. I

am able to open a finger wide. How long on average does it take to

regain mobiliy and open wider? I know it must take a while and I am

trying to be patient and was wondering what other peoples experience

has been. I graduated college in May with a theatre degree and am

eager to go out and audition for shows and interview for jobs.

Auditioning for shows required more mobility as I need to be able to

sing.

Also I have been in quite a bit of pain since the bands came off,

especially on my left side. Has anyone else had pain post band

removal? if so, how long before the pain went away? I'm so tired of

pain :(

sorry to whine and bombard with questions!

thanks for all the help! :)

I do that too, from time to time, with posts, and it surely is

frustrating!

Can't really answer about mobility, as I was never tightly banded.

But about the pain -- I'd call the surgeon's office and tell them, if

you haven't already. Some folks have pain with bands, some have pain

without 'em. I had a bit of pain (had no bands) told my surgeon and

he said, " Let's give it some support. " He put two pretty heavy bands

on, (but I could still open to eat and talk) and the pain vanished

within 15 minutes! It was amazing.
