Guest guest
Ray, That is all part of MSA. Even the crying is a symptom of MSA. Depression is an understandable symptom of MSA as I know I would react the same way to losing all my movement and still knowing what is going on. The doctor can give you some sort of antidepressant as they seem to help most MSA patients cope with the chemical imbalance which makes the depression so bad. Exercise helps fight depression and helps movement. Sorry, a wheelchair is the only way to fight the balance problem. Charlotte used a w/c for 7 years. As you see again today, there are new studies all the time into possible cures (or at least treatment) for MSA. The Quinn research in England will go ahead as that country is not afraid to put money into medical research for brain disorders. The researchers now doing brain research will move to other countries to continue their work if the USA bans it. In fact one stem cell researcher has already moved to Scotland. You have a fair chance of living to see a cure or help for some of the movement problems. Hang in there. Having more chest pains and acute depression. It seems tha any little thing that changes now upsets me to the ninth degree! Doctor is changing medications t o try to elieviate the depression. Cardiologist wants more tests. When do they end. Have to take a trip to Ohio (aaround the Dayton area) in August and get some paperwork drawn up for wills, living trusts, etc. Can't not taaake this trip. Getting weaker in the upper extremities, and Balance problems is progressing at a faster rate. Keep wondering why/what I did in my life to deserve this. I break down (cry) at a moment's notice, can't seem to get happy anymore. My typing is getting tiresome due too the brain wanting to type faster than the fingers will go. Want to end it all. too much of a coward to do so. Sorry to be so depressed. Dr. Ray -- Re: DR.Ray & Belinda Hi Jan:Thank's for letting me know about Belinda.
