Dear - tough break. Still, I suppose it is

better knowing, so that you can deal with it.... My

advice would be to go for it - when my shoulders and

arms were so painful I put it off and off, afterwards

I wished I hadn't done it, but NOW, after rehab and

lots of hard work they work really well, and are

totally pain free. I know it isn't the same thing,

but my point is I was v. negative about surgery, but

it did work. The important thing with surgery is

working through the pain and doing the rehab, which is

jolly hard, but worth the effort. I am going to check

out my right heel when I see the rheumy on Thursday'

Good luck and lots of love!! Liz
