I am so glad to have found this board!!

I have an overbite and TMJ. I have saw two orthodontists so far,

one saying I will probably need surgery and one saying an jaw

repositioning appliance or splint will bring the lower jaw forward.

I have no idea which to do, I am scared to death of surgery but yet

scared that the splint will not be as effective. I would love to

hear from anyone who has experience with this.

I appreciate your help!!

Thanks!

How long would it take for the repostioning appliance and splint?

would you be willing to attempt it to see if it works before

considering surgery? If I had a non-invasive alternative I would jump

at it before dealing with surgery, but that is me.

Would this be feasible finacially? Quite a few questions came to mym

ind when I read your post, I think you may have a lot of research

ahead of you, and a third oppinion is probably in order.
