I have inquired about this procedure twice in the past 2 years with my eye

doctor. He has both times said that he would not recommend it for anyone,

basically, bcuz what u end up doing is robbing from to pay . You

improve the near vision and it takes away from the distance vision; or you

improve the distance vision and it takes away from the near vision. Also,

this laser surgery is not without its occasional complications and

disappointments. Exercise care and ask questions of an eye surgeon who does

NOT specialize mainly in lasik.

CarolA, My had it.....and now I am his seeing eye wife!!! If he

doesn't have his reading glasses with him....he can't read. SOOOO Guess

who gets to do the READING! Shoot...I don't get it at all. Before the

surgery he had to wear glasses to see far.....but could read without his

glasses (even though he did have a perscription for reading). NOW he can

see far but needs glasses to read. As far as I can see..... (WITH MY

GLASSES ON) he has just exchanged one set of glasses for another. Not an

option in my life.
