My surgeon did not have me use any compression garments at all with my abdominoplasty, hernia repair, and breast lift. Kate
Guest guest
: The different doctors have different recommendations as to what you need in your case. My doctor sent me home without any binder because I had an inverted T and he didn't want blood flow compromised at the point at the bottom where the corners met. If there's much lipo, they usually like to compress a lot. in Austin RNY April 1998 ----- Original Message ----- > Finally bit the bullet and got scheduled for a breast reduction and > tummy tuck Jan. 22, 2003. Guest guest
Funny, Indeed, because I also had the inverted " T " and my PS sent me home in a binder to be worn for four weeks. But, he did not want oe to wear one of the Marena compression garments for the same reason that Dave wrote about the binder: he thought that it might compromise the blood flow at the T-junction. It's not an exact science, by any stretch of the imagination. But, you pay the doc big bucks, and you'd be foolish not to follos the doc's advice. --Steve At 6:55 AM -0600 12/31/02, YahooDave wrote: >The different doctors have different recommendations as to what you need in >your case.
