Thighplasty-where is your scar?

Happy Holidays to all. I asked this question last week but with all

the excitement and tasks we all have I did not get an answer. So I

am asking again. I am scheduled to have a thighplasty on 1/8. The

PS is going to put the scare down the leg to the knee but lower ( or

farther back than where the seam of your pants would lie), he will

also go almost around the upper leg - panty line. My question is the

scar going down the leg to the knee - where do others have this

scar? Is it comfortable or a problem with working out, sitting in

hard chairs? And are they happy with where there scar is? Should I

ask for it to be more in line with the seam of my pants? Thanks a

Mine goes to 4-5 inches above my knee. I would say the vertical scar is

ever-so-slightly toward the back of the leg. When I sit, it exactly touches

the chair.......not that I'd ever sit here and answer email in my underwear

or anything. It doesn't show in shorts, rarely noticeable. It causes no

problems whatsoever now, but recovery is tedious because the incisions in

the groin area are slower to heal because they're not exposed to air as

much. And the scars really feel like they're pulling a lot when you sit

down during recovery. It wasn't *that* bad, it was just a slower process.

Perhaps it wouldn't hurt them, but I remember being disappointed that I

couldn't sit comfortably for 2-3 weeks to read or watch TV.

Would I do it again? Of course.

Just my $.02
