Guest guest
Yeah Marilyn, That's what Roy said a couple of years ago when he grew them. He had missed one and it was a whopper when he finally found it. We had a lot of fun with that zucchini, let me tell you. LOL So glad you're pond is doing good. I'm still trying to figure out a way to pack up a lotus for you, but since you are all the way across the country, I haven't figured it out quite yet, but I'm still working on it. You could get a net to put over the pond to keep the cats out of it. I have one I use in the fall to keep leaves out of mine. Leaves can really mess up a ponds eco system. BTW- when you clean your filter, use that yucky water to fertilize your plants, I do and they are growing great. Just thought I'd pass on that tip. W >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I try to get them picked before they get tooo big, but missed one there for a couple days and it got real BIG. There's a joke around here that if you leave your car windows down you are liable to get back in and find a bunch of those things on your front seat.Found two yellow ones out there this AM. Haven't a clue how to cook those. Don't know for sure why they even got planted.Hope you are doing good. Our pond turned out real nice. We've had lots of compliments on it. Bought 6 gold fish and only have 2 left. Think maybe the cats are getting them. The plants all seem to be doing well. Take care.
