Guest guest
Were any of your husbands in the service? Could this be a post traumatic stress disorder in which case it ould be found to be service related and possibly considered for a servie connected disability pension? Guest guest
How would you go about doing that. My husband was in Korea on a rocket ship that was often in heated battles. Some of his earlier night terrors were of three men trying to get him in a closet on a ship, trying to put a mattress on top of him, or trying to throw him off of the ship. How could you possbily prove any of that. Would not it be my word against the military. Guest guest
What an interesting idea--something that absolutely never occurred to me. Sam was in WWII , and has had lots of occasions of striking out, sleep-walking etc, and lots of talking and yelling. I'll have to give that some thought. I have heard though that there has to be something on your discharge papers, and of course, by the time the VA looked into it, he would be long gone.Thanks. Guest guest
If your husband is a member of a Vet's Organization, they all have " Service Officers " . You might check with them. It might be possible that the Service or the VA may have a record of his problem. Or did he get treated by a doctor or the VA before the dx with MSA. In my opinion it wouldn't hurt to file a claim anyway but don't expect immediate results. However he may be elgible for treatment at a VA Clinic. It may be a waste of time but on the other you never can predict what will result in a VA claim. I'm no expert although i have had some dealing with the VA because I'm an Ex- POW of WWII.
