Guest guest
Hi ya'll, It is two weeks to the day that I had upper/lower surgery and I was able to go back to work today. I was able to clear all the major paper work off of my desk and now I can go in tomorrow and Friday and clean up the loose ends. I was somewhat tired leaving work, but nothing I couldn't deal with. I came home and rested, after which I fixed myself a big mug of creamy red beans. Feeling chipper again and looking forward to a chocolate ice cream/banana/peanut butter smoothie! Good luck to tomorrow's June 17th surgeries: Marcia's son, and Holly. Please know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers. To Dani: Hope and trust all went well with your surgery yesterday! Drop us a line as soon as you can and let us know how you are doing! With regards, Dale

Guest guest
That's awesome Dale...It's one week today for me! I'm shooting to be back at work by next Wednedsay also. I still have some residual swelling and some strange yellow discoloration on my neck and upper chest...does anyone know what causes the yellow discoloration? It doesn't hurt it's just weird. Comes with eating too much buttery flavour popcorn ;-) Seriously, my surgeon explained that this happened to some patients, when the mouth is wide open for a long time, some muscles get stretched passed behond their limit (in time), and that causes the bruises in the face, neck. Mine went to where the heart is. Scary! Two weeks later, I only have a very small spot left. I'd say 1.5 x 1.5 inches, and it's like 20% the colour it was last week. Guest guest
I had that yellow discoloring myself. I am 6 1/2 weeks post-op...mine went away after 2 weeks. My surgeon told me to expect it, but he didn't explain why. Someone out there must know.... - jayhb2004 no_reply > wrote: That's awesome Dale...It's one week today for me! Guest guest
Jay, I had that too. I can't say for sure what it is, but I have a strong feeling it is realted to bruising. It is most likely blood leaking down and being reabsorbed by the body. I also had it in my neck and upper chest. -AJ > > Hi ya'll, > > It is two weeks to the day that I had upper/lower surgery and I > was > > able to go back to work today.
