Guest guest
Hi Folks, a is not a member of this group but I thought that maybe someone could email her directly with some support and information. Her email address is below. I know she would appreciate any help she could get. Hugs, Deborah aka Tenacity " a Platt " Platypusatblacko@...> My mother Barbara aged 63 was diagnosed with PD nearly 4 years ago and has depression. Last November whilst on holiday, for some reason my mother took a turn for the worst. She has a Jekyll and Hyde problem. She has an on day then an off day, one day she is my mum then the next day she looks and behaves like she could have manic depression. She has now been admitted to hospital because her weight has dropped to a dangerous level. She only really eats on her better days, and not sufficient to maintain a resonable weight. We,ve seen lots of Doctors and specialists, phsychiatrists G P 's nurses, mental health nurses. Mum has had every test for everything and the specialists have tried different drug regimes. The antidepressant started to work for a while there was a gradual improvement, but now things are worse again. Today is a BAD day. Surely there is somebody out there in the same situation or who has read or heard of something similar! NOBODY knows why this is happening. I checked all the things suggested last time I wrote to the forum inc. dehydration tract infections, drug interations EVERYTHING. I am 31 and my father has just suffered a minor heart attack, brought on by the very difficult life he is leading taking very good care of my mum, heardly any sleep and on the bad days and good days working and worrying and trying to my sense of the torturous life my mum is leading. Myself and my family are very close and will do anything to get my mum a quality of life worth living. If anybody out there has anything that may help us please dont hesitate to write Yours desperately Platypusatblacko ENGLAND _________________________________________________________________ Join the world’s largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com
