Guest guest
And instead of kishka, it was blopolse -- a TRUE blood sausage -- I've even made it in my day: buy fresh cow's blood from the butcher, mix it in a vat with flour, suet, raisins, pearl barley, corn syrup, spices. Sew sausage " skins " bags on the sewing machine. Carol and " Lola " : Thank you for the quite vivid descriptions of your recipes. I for one will stick with my protein shakes for the rest of my life. I thought I had problems dealing with linguini con calimari (flat spaghetti with squid), but your recipes sent me over the edge. My dh was quite impressed saying as a society that we are so wasteful and that years ago people used " every part " of the animal, blood, feathers, etc. and that we have all become " prissy " in our lives today. Will admit I would not have made a very good frontierswoman, but then again, would probably have grown up thin. LOL If you ever make this again, please let me know, I'll ship my husband out to you as he is the adventurous type and will try anything. As for me, I don't even sew buttons on a shirt much less sew animal membranes together. My husband is gung ho on this one and wants to enlist a few friends in trying to make this. How bad does it smell when you cook it? Should he rent an apartment to do this? Regina
