Guest guest
Most of you might not know me but it doesnt mean I dont know most of you. I've been around a while, I just happen to be one of the " readers " rather than the " posters " . Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year. May this year be a good one for all. I also wanted to share that today is my second year anniversary since I crossed over (1/2/01). Its been a long and hard journey but I've enjoyed every single moment. My answer to that famous question of the day " Would you do it over again? " In a heart beat! Best wishes to all those pre and post op... Sincerely, Liz 01/02/01 265/140/5'5 "

Guest guest
Congratulations, Liz...I'll be post op 21 years on May 6th. And you're darned tootin' that I'd do it again! By the way, to all who have wondered with me just what my surgery was...Mom and I sat down and discussed our surgeries (she had the same one done, by the same surgeon, almost a year to the day after mine). We had a proximal RNY. They didn't call it that then, but that's what it was. I'm getting ready to go to the hospital and see about getting copies of all our records. Mom, who hits 20 years in May, has staple line disruption, and I think I'm going to have to hog tie her to go get it fixed. She isn't gaining weight, but she is in pain. Medicare will cover the surgery. She just doesn't want to have it. Mom is harder headed than I am (and that's going a fur piece.)
