Guest guest
Hello, Again, I've uploaded some more pictures this afternoon. I do this every two days. And, before Dammit says otherwise, no, I'm not trying to find a match here... LOL !!!!! (side note: It was a very good one Dammit!!) I do this because it's encouraging to see the swelling going down. It helps to know things will get better, when the going gets tough.. http://www.pbase.com/carbone/surgery&page=all I've visited my generalist this morning. He's amazed and pleased at how good I look! And he agrees with my surgeon, as to the fact that I'm healing particularly fast. I'm thrilled!! Now, let's see.. bunjee anyone? He had a look at my lower abdomen, for the constant and accute pain I had since the surgery. That came as a certain form of relief, it's not an hernia!! However, it's as painful as one, believe me. I've managed to tear a muscle on about 6 or 7 cm (3 inches) long. He said he could feel, with his fingers, where the scar is. But, just to make sure it's not an infection, he ordered tests at the hospital (lucky me, the hospital is just in front of the clinic). I'll have the results in 10 days. He said that when a catheter is inserted to retrieve urine, it sometimes provokes an infection. He doesn't believe it's my case since he could feel the scar on my muscle. For those asking about how soon to get on sports and exercising again after the surgery, here's my little experience.. Yesterday, after the visit to the surgeon, we went shopping. Shopping like visiting two stores, 50 feet apart each other. Spending like an hour, walking verrrrry slowly. When I came home, I felt asleep instantly. This morning, I went to the doctor, and then to the hospital. In all, I have walked like 45 minutes. When I came here, I was again exhausted and very hungry. Now, I'm not the most in shape guy there is, but I'm not lazy as well. I could walk for hours (4) before the surgery, do some bicycle, run a little, use the stairs (instead of the elevators), etc. All this to say, if you're planning on doing your regular exercises a few days after the surgery, consider a PlayStation or GameCube as the only sport you'll be doing for a while ;-) Ray
