Guest guest
I cannot remember anyone who had as bad a time with the second surgery as with the first, not that everybody has a bad time with the first. Do your docs know WHY you had such troubles? Did the hospital or its care have any role in them? If so, I'd try to go to a different hospital the second time around. If not, I'd trust the same one again. As for the ortho... Well, I'm in no position to allocate blame. Since you say it makes you feel better, I will tell you that there was someone here, a few years ago, whose surgeon actually misplaced her lower jaw twice. She finally had a third procedure, by a different team, which fixed her troubles, far as I know. In that case, I encouraged her to seek legal help, since the guy tried twice and got it wrong. I don't know whether she ever did. I will tell you that my surgeon was inclined to disbelieve me when I told him this. He kinda shrugged and said, " Well, I guess there's something to be said for honesty. " He couldn't believe that a surgeon had actually fumbled that badly, twice. But yet another member had surgery by one of the leading " name " surgeons in the field. You've probably seen him on the TV news, doing facial reconstruction In her case, she had complicated, congenital trouble in the joints, and did not blame the surgeon. Finally she, too, got her fix from a third procedure by a different surgeon. I hope and trust that your road will not be so difficult. These instances are indeed rare -- so much so that my surgeon found it difficult to believe. Cammie > --- > Is surgery just as bad the second time around?
