Guest guest
Hey, if an egg feels good -- how about " Eggbeaters " or whatever the generic name is? They're tasty, can be doctored with whatever your conscience and tummy will allow (I actually had a friend once who put Tabasco sauce on his sunny-side-up fried eggs. We won't talk any more about that one, please, speaking of heartburn!) I find they work well, and probably would work even better if you mixed a bit of skim milk and some seasonings in. I DID IT! I ate my first egg, my first " trouble free " egg, I meant to say! I managed to scramble it in smaller pieces. This, combined with the fact that I'm learning how to chew with my new jaws, it was possible for me to enjoy a real egg! With mashed potatoes, of course. It felt good! I actually ate more today than I usually eat... That's a good sign, I'd say. My body is claiming what it's not received in weeks :-) Thanks Cammie, now that's an idea! And a very interesting one! I'm free tomorrow, so I'll go at the grocery and try to locate some! If I remember correctly, they're frozen... Ray
Guest guest
Fleischmann's makes the frozen ones, I think. But I also find some in the dairy cooler, actually above the eggs, in our stores. There are other, less expensive generic types, and I don't find a difference between them -- but my sense of taste is not acute. For whatever it's worth -- our stores also have refrigerated mashed potatoes, hashed browns and other squished potatoes that could be heated, if you're into plastic potatoes... Good luck on the hunt!
