Guest guest
Bill: This is very nice what you wrote. We got to see your soft side. Thanks Vera Ann, All caregivers face this question at some point in the grieving process. The human mind must assign blame at some point, it is part of grieving. If you are questioning your brliefs, you are probably still blaming yourself also. Death is a part of life, unfortunately and God decided that it was time for your mom to be with Him. She is not suffering anymore and whatever religion you believe in, she is better off now. You need to move on in the grieving process and accept the fact that she is now gone and you and the family are still here. She would want you to carry on and take care of yourself and your family as she did with you. My personal religious views are that God WANTS you to think. I believe that God has a purpose even though it is not always clear to me. God created a beautiful earth and I have seem some of it like the Grand Canyon, flying up and down the east coast of Australia, the finger lakes of New York, etc. But how many people get to see all of it? God unlocked the secret of the power of the atom and we used it to kill people, yet we know it CAN be used to help people also. God healed people and every major religion preaches healing over killing in spite of man's interpretations which cause wars. Could God be using the destructive power of the atom bomb to force us to see how stupid war is? God gives a woman about 500 eggs when she is born and the average woman has 2 children. WHY? Did God want every woman to have 500 children? OR is it possible that God wanted people He created in HIS image, to use the eggs to cure themselves with the tools HE gave us? Are people getting this horrible disease just to teach them that we have the power that HE gave us so we can stop this ourselves? God gave man a logical thinking brain designed to think through problems and create love and understanding. I hope we all learn to use it as HE intended. My God sent his Son to teach us to love our neighbor as himself even if the neighbor was a hated person of another race. I think we need to respect the views of others and if they do not want a cure because of religious beliefs, then they can refuse it, but to refuse it to everyone and not even allow them the choice is NOT what my God intended. If we followed the laws of every religion, we would have no war, no blood transfusions, no medicines, no organ transplants, no dancing, no singing, etc. We need to think with the brain God gave us, and accept that even people with the same denomination do NOT believe in exactly the same things.. I hope you find peace and acceptance in your mom's death, she would want it. And that is just MY opinion, you are welcome to your opinion. Take care, Bill Werre
