Guest guest
Dear Friends, Thank you all forDe your kind words. Well it has been a hellova night and day. I can only find humor in the end result. The radiologist that was to read the cat scan today at 9:00 AM was not coming in until 3:00,why I don't know. I must admit I did become a bit hysterical. My PCP was also leaving at 3:00 so there would be no medical clearance for me as my plane is leaving Monday for Durham. SO.......I took my copy of the film to a wonderful old friend of mine who is a top notch radiologist. Should have done it yesterday but did not want to impose. He being a sweetheart said, the only mistake you made was not coming to me in the first place. He was right, but my Ins did not cover him not that he would have cared one bit. Anyway...he looked at that film in his gorgeous waterfront home, and looked and turned, and looked and flipped and looked some more. He said as he is looking " oh yea, I see exactly what the problem is here. As my heart sunk to my knees he looked at me and said. " Susie..it's .......F_A_T !!!!!!! IT's better known as Fat Pads that are pushing up my lungs. I never laughed so hard in my life, there were tears but I couldn''t tell if they were from happiness or relief. He said " this surgery is the best thing in the world for you and those little fat pads will soon be on their way! " Under the circumstances, it could not have been a better diagnosis. I ran to my pcp and she was waiting for the results from the lab and was not budging. At 3:25 out they came from her fax machine. The other radiologist faxed his report and across the top was written ...FAT PADS. Guest guest
What is E-mail confirmation code Ann from Soddy,TN
Guest guest
Ann, In what context are you getting " E-mail " confirmation code? That is usually a code you get when you ask to be a part of some secure website and they send you back a confirmation code that you reply with so you aknowledge that you actually want to be a part of that group. However, you may want to check your computer for viruses. Have you got a good virus checker? If not you need to get one as there are new viruses every day. I have a firewall in addition to my virus checker and it shows 11 attempts this week to break into my computer - so do NOT send an E-mail confirmation code unless you DEFINITELY know who it came from and that they do not have a virus. Guest guest
Barb, A virus checker is invaluable and costs about $25 per year fo one that updates each time you go onto the internet. The two top rated virus checkers are Norton Antivirus and McAfee, there are others which work, but I have not seen evaluations on them. They check for people trying to send you viruses, worms, etc. and stop or cure them. A firewall stops people from " hacking " into your computer. This is only a small problem if you are only on a 56k modem for an hour a day, but becomes a big problem if you (like me) are hooked to the internet directly with a high speed internet connection. If you do internet banking and online purchasing, a firewall should be considered. You may not need the firewall, but everyone on this list should have a virus checker. It is cheap protection.
