Hi ,

I was wired shut for 4 weeks. It doesn't hurt to get unwired, it is

just a strange feeling. Sort of like your jaw is going to fall off

(but don't worry, it won't). I would take a pain pill or at least a

tylenol before going to get it done, for me, I had an incredible

headache afterwards just from clenching my jaw. I also wouldn't plan

on too much eating right away either, your doc will probably say a

soft diet for a while. I wasn't allow to " chew " for another 3 weeks,

but all docs are different. Good Luck, keep us posted.
