Guest guest
The "strident luminous rays" could be a sign of a detached retina, which if untreated could result in blindness in the affected eye. I would see a doctor as soon as possible. Carol & Rob Lexington, MA Ocular problem Since four days, I have some problems with my eyes .. Guest guest
Alberte, Eye problems are common in MSA. However, your problem sound like an age problem that I have called vitreous floaters. The lining (or sac) tears slightly from the cornea and causes black specks to appear to be floating around in the eye. The light flashes are also symptomatic of this problem. My opthamologist said it was an age problem and that it was not bad enough to worry about at this time. If someone looks at your eye they will probably see a yellowish spot on your eye. You should however, see your opthamologist as soon as possible as it may be a detached retina.
