Guest guest
Morning all, Below is a post that I received from Jean. I was so tickled to hear from him that I had to forward this to you guys too. He has a rough time of it lately and is just now coming out of it! I hope he will post us all soon so it will feel like old times! Lots of Love Glenda Message from Jean Sprecher On April 28th, Amelie was 1 year old, and I made her a big promesse (promise spelling?): Stop smoking (after over 50 years heavey smoke). And I am still clean. But in the meantime a lot of things had happend: My wife wanted to offer me a typical "midsommar-weekend" in her country, Sweden. So, the 21st of june we took the flight to Stockholm. and there it happened: I just fainted away, couldn't breath anymore got oxigen and medical assistance of a young swedish girl-doctor and made it till Stockholm. As I felt better, we decided to go to our relatives place. This was Thursday. Friday long walk along the sea, feeling quit ok. but in the evening again breathing difficulties, so hurry to the hospital, emergiency, oxigen and and and. First diagn. broncho-pneumonia with high fever. Got the most efficient treatment by the swedish doctors and nurses, antibiotica etc etc. So monday I was able to fly back to switzerland. Tuesday in Geneva, feeling little dizzy but still ok. but wednesday again breathing difficulties, so my wife called a med ant he sent me to the hospital, which I could leave the 10th of july. So there was no midsommar fiesta in sweden and no hollyday in geneva, but hospital from june 27th to july 10. what was wrong: broncho-pneumonia, conjonctivitis, otitis all together with breathing problems. Final diagnosis: its COPD : Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. COPD is mainly associated with smoking, with up to 20 % of all smokers developing the disease . So, I am paying now the bill, for heavy smoking. But now I am clean, no more tobacco. Thats all for this time. You may update all my friends at the RP site, and tell them that soon I shall post again love jean ---Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).Version: 6.0.264 / Virus Database: 136 - Release Date: 7/2/2001
