Guest guest
I started to write last night but was too weak and had to sit back in my lounge chair. Had my surgery the 17th, upper moved up and widened and chin moved foward (a surprise to me). Waking up in recovery was like being in a nightmare. They couldn't get one nostril to stop bleeding and I could not breathe. After getting to my room and getting the wonderful mask put on, it wasn't so bad. After about 8 hours when I had to get up to use the restroom, I got real sick and threw up but I'll tell you, that was the best thing to happen...no more nausea. The 3rd and 4th days were the worst. My second night home I had a major panic attack and luckily I had asked my doc for xanax so took one and felt better. Woke up Monday fine, a few hours later another panic attack..called the doc in tears begging to take the bands off. Got valium instead, has helped. Still pretty swollen and starting to see bruising. My kids are being real good, I think they are scared of me (10, 6 and 3). My mom lives with me right now so her and my hubby have been wonderful. I go to the doc on Monday to get these bands taken off. One of the worst parts of this is the taste of all these meds. Having to disolve the Valium an Xanax, the Tylenol with Codiene, the Dimeatap and the nasal spray...yuck yuck!! Thanks hor listening. - Nicki
