Guest guest
Hello from Germany, Does anyone know, if the implementation of New Cells, what they do in USA and Russia is helpful when you have MSA? Anyone with experience? Comments? Any information would certainly help. Thank you in advance. Stephan email: Mederskis@...
Guest guest
Stephan, All research here in the USA is progressing nicely. I am sorry to say, the results so far, although they bring hope, are at such an early stage, it would not be wise to speculate about any human treatment. If you will join our family, you will be kept up to date as to the latest data. Some of the people in the family know more about the degenerative diseases than 90% of the doctors. Its nice to meet you, I hope you stay with us. Guest guest
Stephan, Welcome to our list. There is currently no stem cell cure for MSA as far as we know. In the USA they have cured mice of a chemically induced Parkinson's type of disorder. In Austria they have developed a rat that has symptoms of MSA, but to my knowledge they have not had any luck with curing those symptoms. I have not heard of any cure in Russia. There is hope amoung researchers that they will be able to use stem cells to cure MSA in the future. However, the USA has pluripotent stem cell research almost completely blocked by Presidential order. The EU was supposed to fund a huge stem cell research project, but has put it off a year due to religious objections also. Great Britian, Canada, Australia and Singapore are still funding stem cell research with very tight limitations. There are medicines which can help many patients with some symptoms. Exercise (daily) for range of motion, will help maintain movement and may help extend movement as much as two years. Make sure you drink enough liquids as you should swallow two litres per day to prevent dehydration and infections. Let us know what symptoms you are having the most problems with and we may be able to point you in the direction of medicines to try. My wife died last year after fighting MSA for almost 12 years.
