Gumbo is good with almost anything in it .

Al & I went to New Orleans years ago, we took a tour bus from where we

were staying because of trying to find places to park etc.

We forgot to change out watches to central time. after walking around we

went to get the bus and it had left for the cemetery tour.

That was the best thing that ever happen. We were walking around the

town looking in the gates of some of the houses. Many of the people

invited us in to see their gardens and courtyards. That was a real

treat. I was also asked by some idiot that owned one of the clubs

(strip) if I wanted a job.lol. Now you must remember I was much younger

and a wee bit thinner.

Went in a lot of the antique shops. We surely love the day and most of

all the coffee.

Ann,

Unfortunately, the New Orleans you remember has changed drastically. A lot

of crime in certain areas, mostly were tourist are. The Garden district you

and your husban visited still exists and New Orleans is still a world class

tourist atraction.

I envey you your memory you have. My experiences there has been finding out

of the way restaurants, which many are better than some of the well known

restaurants.

God Bless,
