Guest guest
Hello : I just have one question to ask about the hospital bed. Does the headboard and the footboard come off the spring part of the bed? Fred's did and that's how we got it into the house. Once it was in the house we put it back together, which was only a few minutes. It's something to check out. See still trying to help you after you've been picking on me. ) Take Care Vera Hey guys! (and gals :-) I got a hospital bed - given to me. Of course, it's been in our farm van for a few weeks now. Pulled it out 2 days ago so we could take some goats to a sale (which we never ended up doing due to the heat). Now where is it? Still outside. Can't figure out how to get it into our house. May have to take it around to the back porch, as we're going to have to turn it on it's side and drag it through the house - and I didn't exactly design this place for that to happen (yep - designed and built this place ourselves - much of which is setting incomplete because this - whatever it is - slammed me about a year ago - and I still haven't bounced back). Anyway, can't wait to try it out. I've been sleeping on a Wal-Mart canvas recliner (camping equipment type) for months now. Think it's finally breaking down a bit. Can you believe that!! And after the whole $15 I spent on it! :-) Best investment I made to date - has virtually eliminated my backaches - and I sleep with head elevated - like a good boy :-) Well, catch ya later. I still have some reports to write - if my eyes will cooperate (or even if they won't - gotta get them done - if I want to keep even the modest income coming in that I have - and yes - I am blessed to have that!) Guest guest
Hey : Don't laugh , but Fred's hospital bed does have hand cranks, but that so if we use the power we can get the bed up or down. The way the power is here in California, we may just need to use them someday. HI VERA!!! GOOD TO HEAR FROM YOU!!! NO. THIS BED APPEARS TO BE FROM AN ANCIENT VINTAGE. SURPRISED IT DOESN'T HAVE HAND CRANKS TO OPERATE :-) IT IS A TWIN - BUT CAN'T GET IT TO ROLL THROUGH A STANDARD DOORWAY - AND WE HAVE 3 FOOT DOORS IN EVERY DOORWAY OF THE HOUSE! IT'S A REAL MONSTROCITY. MUST HAVE BEEN A TRUE EN-GUN-EAR WHO DESIGNED THIS PUPPY. YOU KNOW - THE SAME TYPE WHO DESIGNED OUR NEWER CAR - SO THAT YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE MOTOR FROM IT'S MOUNTS IN ORDER TO REPLACE THE SERPENTINE BELT! OH WELL - I NEEDED ANOTHER CHALLENGE. AT LEAST IF WE TAKE IT AROUND BACK - WE CAN TILT IT SIDEWAYS THROUGH THE DOOR - THEN GO UPRIGHT AGAIN AND ROLL IT TO OUR DOORWAY - AND THEN FIGHT IT INTO OUR BEDROOM. IT IS HEAVY!!!! WELL - THAT - AND I APPEAR TO BE A BIT WEAKER THAN I WAS :-) THANKS FOR KEEPING IN TOUCH. PABLITO
