At the hospital, it was at 45 degrees, and I had trouble sleeping that much elevated. At home, I'm about 20 degrees and it helped greatly! Guest guest
Sach, I just had surgery on Friday and yes, you want the bed tilted. I came home yesterday and had a bedrest on the bed with pillows on it and a couple of books under the mattress but found that was too much. i took the books out and also the bedrest and just used about 4 pillows. I slept OK. I can already feel how badly i want to " lay down " , but i know i won;t be able to do that for a while. Just keep remembering, do what you feel is right for your face to heal as best as possible. Good luck. > > I have surgery coming up in few days. Guest guest
Just get a couple of big, fluffy pillows dude. But don't worry, cuz you won't be sleeping much anyways! LOL What I found was those first few days sleeping was hell. I couldn't fall asleep with my head tilted. And if I tried to flatten my head all the blood would rush to my face that it was unbearable. My point is, sleeping is gonna suck until the swelling goes down enough that you can throw the fluffy pillows away and sleep normally. Probably not till Day 5/6. > > > I have surgery coming up in few days.
