Beth,

Be sure to follow through with your doctor before making any changes .....

but for what its worth (maybe not much with this idiosyncratic disease), my

anecdotal experience is that I was taking the same dose of florinef plus

midodrine every 4 hours for bad OH when I got wise to drinking water. I

eventually dropped both drugs (more than a year ago) and still my BP is

pretty consistently on the high side (160/90) with a sporadic and

manageable OH problem.

Good luck.

Beth,

What time of day are you giving your husband the florinef? Do you give him

both pills at once? When you say that his b/p is high, what exactly is it?

Maybe if you give us more information, we can help.

Hi,

My husband has been taking 2 - 0.1 mg florinef a day for his low blood pressure.

Until recently this has been working fine, now that he's drinking more liquid,

like he should, his blood pressure is always on the high side. I was just

wondering if the florinef can be cut in half so that he would only be receiving

0.05 mg at a time? I haven't been able to get a call through to his doctor yet,

so I thought I'd give you all a try!

Thanks in advance for all your help!

Beth

Beth,

It is more likely that they will cut it back to one per day. Talk to the doctor

before doing anything.

Take care, Bill Werre
