Guest guest
I am very disappointed by the recent hurtful insinuations levied in this group. I happen to think that both groups, the Support Report and the RP Foundation both have a tremendous opportunity to further the interests of RP patients worldwide. It is not uncommon for more than one organization to work for the same goal....for example in cancer support/research we have many organizations all working in various capacities. The same holds true in rheumatoid arthritis. There's room and a need for everyone to stay involved in all of these areas, whether it's the various groups within RP, RA, or cancer, and to not feel pressured to pledge allegiance with one versus the other. Many differences of opinion are the result of miscommunication, not from self-serving or ulterior motives. We have very intuitive members in the support group who undoubtedly realize that this has happened in the RP arena. The sooner we all can move forward, for the sake of RP and all who are counting on our success, the better. There's a lot of work to be done and the members of the RP support group deserve the chance to work with both groups and to not feel that they are on "one side or the other." There's a need for the unique skills of everyone. Unless the two groups lose sight of their true purposes, we are all on the same side. --Connie Hache
