I am very grouchy today. I got my bands off yesterday and proceeded

to do too much. Today my whole mouth aches. I realized that I have

absolutely no feeling in my upper mouth (roof). I was brushing my

teeth for the first time after getting the bands out and when I went

to brush my upper back teeth, I did not feel the brush at all. It

is affecting my taste buds. I am tired of looking wierd. I know

all of this is a part of the process but it doesn't mean I have to

like it. On the brighter side I have a new talent! I can whistle

through the gap between my front teeth.

Meantime, can you (barf!) " Whistle a happy little tune? " Or just an

Audrey Hepburn? Holly Golightly taxi- summons???

Either would be better than I've ever been able to muster!

Nope. you don't have to like any of it. Yep, you can bitch and vent.

Ho-Kay? Most of us have been there before you, or will follow in your

path..

But they key is, sad to say, patience, patience, patience. Not fun.
