6 days after surgery and full of questions

i just got surgery (on my lower jaw to be moved forward and my top

jaw moved up and split in half to make it less narrow) on the 23rd

and i am already tired of having my mouth wired shut. i just really

want to brush my teeth and i have so many questions. I love hearing

stories about what everyone else has gone through or are going

through. To me it feels like i am the only one when i know that i

am not. I just had one question though, how long does it take to

get the feeling back in your lower lip. If anyone gets bored and

wants to talk im very willing because im stuck in bed for the next

couple of days.

It takes awhile for the feeling to come back. They told me 3 months.

lucky enough i had a very good doctor and he did a clean cut on the

bone so i have no wires just bands. I have done really good i have

not been on pain killers for about 3 days now but i go back to the

OS friday so i am gonna beg for them to clean my mouth, i cant stand

not brushing and then im gonna beg to have bands loosened so i can

eat pastas.
