Guest guest
Probly, in answer to no. 1. Ask your doc if you can have something to help. Benedryl is generally benign and otherwise helpful, but he or she may have a better idea. Guest guest
Hi - I had the same problem with sleeping. The problem will go away in a few days. With me, some times I would wake up hungry (that nasty heartburn feeling), in which case you just take an Ensure and go back to bed. I did take a Benadryl one night and it seemed to help. I think I read one of your other posts where you said you weren't taking pain meds any more. If you take a good dose of the pain meds, that should knock you out for a few hours. If you don't want to take pain meds, you can also try taking a couple of Ibuprofen (Advil or equivalent). They seem to relax me and take away any little aches or pains, and that helps me sleep better. Also maybe if you take some nutrition right before bed you'll be less likely to wake up hungry. Hope this helps, Jay > is the " falling asleep " feeling in my bottom lip and in my chin the > nerves repairing themselves? > > Also anyone have any advice on how to sleep longer than 3 hours
Guest guest
, Every time i get tingle i get excited as it seems as though some repairing is going on there. At least, that is what i got from posts on this site. i have yet to see my surgeon after my 4.5 hour operation on Friday, so i will ask him. I too am having massive problems sleeping. I came to one conclusion though. I just finished watching a movie and was sitting still for about 1.75 hrs. i think that when i am so still, my face, muscles, etc, get tight and stiff then sore adn when i wake (or move after the movie), i find an incredible headache and major facial achiness. I am MUCH better during the day than at night so i am trying to put all the pieces together. when i went for a snack after the movie i found that i could not open my mouth as wide adn that it took a little work. i think sleeping in the recliner for part of the night has also helped. it supports my back more than just a BUNCH of pillows on the bed. I am on day 5. i am finding that i hate the approaching eve. i can only hope this will improve soon for both of us > is the " falling asleep " feeling in my bottom lip and in my chin the > nerves repairing themselves? > > Also anyone have any advice on how to sleep longer than 3 hours
Guest guest
Sleeping sucks for the first few days. I started sleeping decently around Day 5. I think you're on day 5 now so it should start to get better now. Don't mind all the tingling and weird sensations. Your face has just been stretched wide open and has undergone some major trauma. I wouldn't analyze it too much. > > is the " falling asleep " feeling in my bottom lip and in my chin > the > > nerves repairing themselves? > > > > Also anyone have any advice on how to sleep longer than 3 hours
