Guest guest
Janet, thank you so much for your post... I think you explained a lot of things that had people confused.... Yes, this is an exception.... we have a wonderful group and all have so much fun..(along with the support) Now to Pete... I'm so sorry about his sugar levels and cataracts.... Have his flares been under control..? You know we will keep him in our thoughts and prayers and YOU too. How are you doing? Working hard as usual... I " m sure that Pete's sense of humor keeps him going, but I'm sure that you are a great source of support for him... I admire all the members who are spouses of the RP patient. I think that you have it worse then the RPer's. The stress and worry is double fold.. Thanks again Janet for you post...Let us know how Pete does.. hugs
Guest guest
janet i was just thinking of you and pete. so glad you posted, please keep us updated on pete and give him my best. I was on the phone the other date and had to change ears to hear my right ear is the worst. Pete and all him problems came to mind. And I started counting my blessing real quick How are you doing. I hope you are taking care of your self too. dawn Baaboo19@... wrote: Hi all- I would like to welcome all new members, I have not posted lately. To eveyone I would like to say that the recent "problems" the group was having is definetly an exception to the rule. Pete and I have been members since 1998..when we joined I think Pete was #23 or something in that area. Angie, Roy and W were just wonderful and if it wasn't for their support and suggestions Pete would have given up a long time ago. Just know that this is a wonderful group with a world full of knowledge and a great sense of humor. Okay on to Mr.Pete..he has not been having any flares but is having alot of trouble with high sugar levels. A few days ago they started him on Starlix in addition to amaryl. The sugar levels have come down but not enough...so its off to the doc again tomorrow. He has developed cataracts and will have the first eye operated on August 9th (I forget who suggested Dr. Weiss at Columbia, but thats who we went to and he was GREAT so Thank You)..right now he can only see shadows so its very hard for him because he is deaf too. He is a trooper though and has kept his sense of humor which gets him through alot of tough times. Will keep you all updated as much as I can. You are all always in my prayers!!!
