Guest guest
Hi , If you had upper surgery, it's due to the swelling in the upper lip. It can take awhile to go down. I had the same problem, thought maybe the surgeon had not reduced my upper jaw enough. But lo and behold, one night I awoke with my lips tightly closed! It's also because they literally stretch your lips around the block while you are asleep in surgery. Yes, lip closing should happen prior to all numbness or tingling going away (getting brace hardware off helps too). The numbness/tingling is just entertainment to help you pass the time : ) > due to numbness, etc, i am having a hard time keeping my lips > together. funny thing, that was problem BEFORE I had surgery due to > gummy smile. do the muscles in my " poor wittle wips " , come back to > do their job prior to all numbbess or tingling going away?
