Guest guest
Ok. After 6 hours in surgery, and 3 days in the hospital I am wondering was this all worth it. I look like a Mack Truck hit me -- everyone says " how its not so bad " . I feel terrible. Hard to take liquids.Does it get better? Guest guest
Of course it does but it sure doesn't feel like it will right now. For me, days 3 and 4 were THE worst. By 1 week and 2 days, I went to the movies. Sure I looked freakish but I HAD to get out of the house. The day after that I went to Costco. I have had plastic surgery before and I have given birth 3 times and after every time I think how am I going to survive this but a few days go by and every day after I feel better and better. I am 16 days post op and I feel pretty good. I am still swollen and can't feel the roof of my mouth but I know it will get better. Some days I feel like I am depressed but it is hard to change your whole routine for such a long time. I have 3 kids and I work out and I LOVE to eat so I have had to adjust EVERYTHING. Hang in there.-Nicki > Ok. After 6 hours in surgery, and 3 days in the hospital I am > wondering was this all worth it. I look like a Mack Truck hit me - - > everyone says " how its not so bad " . Guest guest
I know exactly how you feel Anita. I felt the same way, but I started getting exponentially better after about 3 weeks. I had horrible swelling did not start subsiding till 3 weeks postop... However, most swelling went down by week 4 and i've got almost all my feeling back in chin and all my feeling in lower lip... Make sure you're resting and taking your vitamen C to boost your immunity.. good luck and stay positive (i know it's not easy in the beginning) > Ok.
