I am 13 days after surgery and this coming friday i will be able to

eat soft foods according to my doctor. I weighed 132 when i went in

for surgery and today i weigh 121. I like the weight i am at now.

Is it really hard to keep the weight off after you start eating

solid foods or if i eat the right stuff will i be able to keep it

off?

I wouldn't start a diet now, your body still needs proper nutrition

for good healing.

It's possible to maintain that weight loss, I think, provided you

don't go back to any unhealthy eating habits that you may have had

pre-op, like junk food. I ate a lot of veggies in the post-op period

(mostly cooked to mush) and carried this on, much healthier lifestyle

for me.

I'm two months post op and I've yet to gain back all my preop weight.

I was about 180lbs before surgery. I got as low as 165 postop. I

think I'm currently at 175lbs, which is not a bad weight for me..

I am 5 weeks post op (well... 5 weeks in two days), and I've not gained back

one single lbs of my pre-op weight, and I'm eating more and more since

the last seven days. In fact, I'm eating as much as I used to before the

surgery. I lost 12 pounds and two weeks ago I gained 2 (for no reason, I

can tell you that!). I've remained at -10 lbs since then.
