I had no idea that I needed a chin until I saw my OS 2 days before

surgery. I didn't do any research on this because I thought my chin

was fine but I am wondering, I now have a bump on the side of my

chin and another on the underside of my jawline. You can't tell by

looking at me so it's not a huge concern but I was just wondering if

it will eventually go away. It feels hard, like bone. Has this

happened to anyone else?

You need to be asking a dentist, an ortho and/or a surgeon these

questions. Depends on what's the problem, as well as whether you

need braces, other surgery, etc.

Genio is usually, I think, less than $5,000, although that seems an

enormous sum. (Compare it, though, to what folks pay for cars these

days!)

It usually is not covered by insurance, although some have been able

to get it covered.

Other procedures frequently are covered.
