Guest guest
Hi Barb: I sent you Rita's number, so you can talk to her. I know that she understands that is in the last stages of MSA and I know that they wanted to send Hospice out, but she turned that down , as she doesn't want to know. She is trying to be strong, but it's not easy all the time, is it? With you living in Orange County , you know more what help Rita can get and it would be a help if you could call her. Sorry you missed the support meeting, we did miss all of you who couldn't come, but hope to see you at my house on September 28 it starts at 1pm. Take Care Vera ************************* Vera: As you know, I did talk to Rita on the phone, and it was obvious that her husband is in last stages of MSA. I brought up Hospice as a possibility, but she was resistant to the idea. I think it is very hard for her to let anyone in to help her. As you remember, Hospice not only sent the Nurse three times a week, but they also arranged for the Doctor to visit in our home. I have lost Rita's telephone number so I can't call her again unless you send her number to me again. Also, the public transport system here in Orange County where she is will send a special wheelchair accessible bus to her house to transport anyone and an assistant to the doctor. She just has to have her doctor or nurse make the referral. i am sorry not to be with the rest of you today, but I am looking forward to my granddaughter's Birthday party this afternoon. love, Barbara
