Guest guest
My daughter is going to drive my husband & I to Chicago. Our son may meet us Sat. Although I look forward to the conference, I'm really dreading the long drive. Dodie in MO
Guest guest
Dodie, Make sure you get out of the car and stretch every two hours or so. Drink lots of water or juice. Allow time to unwind after the drive. Take care, Bill Werre ==================================== DKamler wrote: >My daughter is going to drive my husband & I to Chicago. Our son may meet us >Sat. Guest guest
Hi Dodie. I was raised in the State of Misery... uh... I mean... Missouri :-) Really - MO is still among my favorite States - which is likely why I now live just to your south. Where in MO do you live? I found out tonight that my neice is not going to be able to make it. She has an exam slated for around that time, and is going to have to study hard for it. Been there, and done that, so as much as I'm disappointed, I understand. My wife is driving. Long drive. We'll probably be staying in Rolla overnight (I went to undergrad school there, and we still have friends there). Looking forward to meeting you there. > My daughter is going to drive my husband & I to Chicago. Our son may meet us > Sat. Guest guest
Chicago I was wondering if anybody could answer a couple questions I have? My husband and I are trying to decide wether to go to Chicago (we went 2 years ago),or go to New York to see Dr.Harbison at her office. My question is how long of a wait is it right now to get in to see her. I also wondering if another Canadian has gone to see Dr. H. in New York? I wanted to know how a Canadian paid for the visit without insurance. If someone has these answers for me it would be very helpful because Dr. Harbisons office is closed until May 10. Thank you Charlene 4 year old twins RSS
Guest guest
Hi Charlene, We live in Canada also and are planning on attending the conference in Chicago this summer. We thought about trying to see Dr.H in New York and when we contacted Alberta Health Care they said that they would not cover anything because it's not a fatal or life threatening disease or disorder, even if it was the trip would have to be for new or experimental treatments. If we wanted to go that route we'd either have to take out a loan or fundraise like crazy, I don't think that a fundraiser would raise enough for a trip like that especially if she ran any tests. I'm not sure what the wait would be for a first time patient to get an appt. What part of Canada are you in? We live in Central Alberta between Edmonton and Calgary.
