Guest guest
PET Centers that use [F-18]Fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) Sorry I was wrong, there are more than a half dozen centers that do this type of PET scan. It's closer to 50 centers in North America (note there are several listed in Canada). When I was looking this up for Deborah last month we didn't know the proper name of the test so we only turned up a half dozen centers. A list of the centers are at this website: http://www.snidd.org/petsearchresults.cfm?radiotracerid=

Guest guest
Hi Deborah and Pam. Hope mine is okay. I'm to be having my PET scans at Tulsa. My internist has been assured by St. 's medical staff that they know how to perform and interpret these results. Of course, my confidence level is not really high, as both Tulsa and Joplin can do MRIs too - but both missed 4 or 5 relatively significant abnormalities in my MRIs done at each location :-) Perhaps this is why I haven't been able to be scheduled yet? Perhaps I am to go to another location. I'd much rather go once and have it done right. As I understood it, these are relatively common tests now though - nothing like the Cine MRI ordered. By the way Deborah, glad you have a hietal hernia and GERD. I have neither, so the boat's still out on me :-) Meanwhile, I continue to vomit daily, but the other end competes fairly well for attention as well :-) > PET Centers that use [F-18]Fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) > > Sorry I was wrong, there are more than a half dozen centers that do this > type of PET scan.
