Also with staph you usually have quite high fever and VERY sore throat with ulcers and other " stuff " on it, although of course different people do respond differently. That was my experience a couple of years ago. Hope you feel better soon. Also I would like to welcome Ann and le - repeating what others say this is a great group!! My name is Liz, I am English, single, 58 years old. I have been dx with rp for 4 years, but I'm pretty sure I have had it since at least 1988, probably longer. Don't take too much notice of the depressing stuff you may pick up on the internet. On the other hand DO take it seriously, listen to what your docs say, and take your meds. Although some of them do have nasty side effects, it is still preferable to being ill and in pain all the time. Since I have been on methotrexate (also pred and now plaquenil) I have been so much better!!! I am still working (mind you I have a very flexible job!!) I'm so glad you found us, I am sure you will get a lot of support and info., not to mention fun!! Love Liz __________________________________________________
