Guest guest
I had surgery last friday, July 2nd. Things are going well. Thanks for all the help on this board. I am taking one day at a time!! So har I have been sleeping at about 40 degree angle. I don't find it very difficult to sleep at this angle. In fact I am kinda used to it. But out of curiosity, I am wondering how long you guys are keeping your head elevated? Is it ok to sleep on side with head elevated for little bit? Is it ok to sleep on side with head elevated for little bit? I slept uphill for I think about 2-3 weeks. I slept on my side in a recliner, packed into place with pillows all around. When I got permission to sleep flat, I also got permission to sleep on my stomach, but not with my arm under my head. My doc said that was bad. I had bands on, and the polymer plates/screws, which are less strong than titanium, so I would think if I could do it, someone with metal in their head could as well. Guest guest
i am 2 weeks post op tomorrow, i just put my pillows down about 3 days ago. i had a real hard time sleeping upright and always wanted to turn to my side. it really was all the swelling and the weight of it that was uncomfortable in any position other than upright. i am sleeping comfy cozy now and have actually found myself on my side several times. i WAS worrying about it, but am now not as i don't intentially do it and find that i am getting better sleep. my face feels no worse for the wear for it. > I had surgery last friday, July 2nd.
