Guest guest
Hello Yeap! I did feel the earth move under my feet the day of the earth quake. It wasnt' to far from me and it woke me up when it hit at 12:08 am. I needed to get up and go to bed, fell asleep on the sofa after a long day. I did try to write the other day, but lost the letter before I sent it. I guess Aol knocked me off or someone trying to call in. Good thing your not here yet to visit California. I've got earth quakes to the south of me , fire's to the north of me , bears coming down to the city north east of me and coyotes on my hill, plus it's been hot , hot , hot. Take Care Vera my attachment Hi Vera. Feel the earth move under your feet? See the sky tumblin down? Oops. Sorry - couldn't resist the words of the "oldie" song :-) Heard you had a quake out there in CA tonight. Just wondering. Pablito
Guest guest
And remind me again why people " WANT " to live in California? We were told last week that this might be a record year for Tornados in Oklahoma. Record for fewest. October is still a high frequency month - but we've only had something like 14 in the State so far - which is dozens below average. At least with those (if you're in the wide open) you can crawl into a " frady hole " and hide :-) Of course, we have our share of fires too. Very surprised we haven't had more this year - VERY dry. Nearly everthing but the trees are dead here. And we're in the part of Oklahoma they call " Green Country " . Lookin mighty brown, and no forecast of rain. We also have Coyotes and wild dogs, but no bears. There is rumor of one - but I think it's a legend. Bob cats too - no legend - but they leave us all alone. Can't even really give you a hard time about the quakes, or we'll start having problems with the New Madrid again - that's the one that changed the course of the mighty Mississippi River a couple of decades ago. Well, best go. Good to hear from you. Was surprised to hear you were asleep at 12 a.m. :-) Pablito > Hello > Yeap! I did feel the earth move under my feet the day of the earth quake.
