Hello, I was wondering about the medicine

I want to thank everyone that responded to my message. It is such a

wonderful - comforting feeling to know that there is advice out there

and that I am not the only one going through this.

I had previously asked about the medicine that my Father is on. I

appreciate all the response on the Sudafed. I have gotten with my

Step-Mother about that and we had those questions to ask the second

opionion doctor.

Are there any other medications that help with prolonging the brain

function.?

Thanks in advance for all your help!

Kat,

There are medicines that help specific symptoms, so if you tell us the

major symptoms, we can tell you which medicines to ask your doctor

about. A good working relationship with your doctor is essential to

caring for the MSA patient.

Part of that is keeping records of how the patient does (especially when

changing medicines) AND communicating well with your doctor. If you do

not give the doctor the whole story, they have a hard time helping you.

Take care, Bill Werre
