Guest guest
Well it seems that I have established a pattern since I left the revoery room last night at 9:00pm. I sleep one hour and am awake for 2. My biggest problem is the congestion, after sleeping for one hour my nose and throat fill up so I have trouble breathing and I have to wake up to take care of them. So far I'm okay with this, but I can see how it might start to wear on me after another day of 2. Hopefully it won't last too long. Eating is going ok, I had a blueberry smoothie (with soy ice cream and soy milk) when I got home and beans with cheese thinned with chicken broth later tonight. I ve managed about 40 oz. of water. I have a small splint and 2 bands on one side and 1 band on the other for the next week. Time to go to sleep for an hour
Guest guest
Yep - the downside to being " on the other side " is you can't sleep very well for awhile - it's a bit frustrating as you think you should be sleeping in order to heal - just hang in there, you'll be sleeping better in a few days... Guest guest
Marsha, It sounds like you have a very positive attitude about your recovery, that will help a lot! Great job drinking so much water, don't forget to get the calories in that you'll need for healing. The sleeping was very rough for me for the first week and a half, i am just over 2 weeks and it is sooooo much better. Happy healing. > Well it seems that I have established a pattern since I left the > revoery room last night at 9:00pm. I sleep one hour and am awake for > 2. Guest guest
Sounds like you are doing really well!! I am about a week post op & I think instead of drinking plain water you can try something like gatorade or vitamin water. More calerories the better at least for the first week. I am hooked to gatorade... Sach > > Well it seems that I have established a pattern since I left the > > revoery room last night at 9:00pm. I sleep one hour and am awake > for > > 2.
