Hi Jill:

Sorry to hear you have a shiner (black eye) . Thank God I never got one of those from Fred, but like Carol I have had hands around my throat also, along with another night that I woke up when he had a hand full of my hair and was just about ready to pull it all out , until I yelled. I aggree with Carol, sounds like it's about time was on Clonazepam. Fred takes 1.0 mg at night and I can say I haven't woke up to hands on my neck or in my hair since he started it.

Just thought you would like a laugh at our latest 'adventure'

I have the most wonderful black eye (my first ever) and I feel very proud

of it. It happened during the night when caught me a good punch

during his night spasms. 0f course he knows nothing about it. I have told

him I will change to single beds when I wake up and find his hands around

my throat..........lol

Jill,

Oh dear! It's good that you're laughing at this, but it's a terrible way to

be woken from your sleep - I know. I did actually wake up with Rob's hands

around my throat, although I was able to push him away before anything

terrible happened. We still share a bed, although we've gone from a "'full"

sized bed to a "king:. Even at that there are some nights I go sleep in

another room.

It may be time to talk to the doctor about medication for 's night

thrashings. Clonazapam (also known as klonopin) is what is usually

prescribed. Rob currently takes 2 mg. at bedtime, and without it I'm sure

he (and maybe I) would be sleeping in a padded room!

Good luck,

Carol & Rob
