Hi.

I might as well chime in on this one...

" Ding Dong " :-)

I was sent to an ENT.

He saw me because the neurological tests showed evidence of a lesion

on one of the cranial nerves (think it was the 8th).

He assessed me, and looked at my MRI pics.

He was looking for a narrowing of any nerve passages.

He also looked for lesions.

None were apparent.

He was the first to diagnose me (before Mayo or the neuro) with

autonomic neuropathy.

He was also the most honest - telling me that they only understand 2%

of the autonomic nervous system - to decrease any expectation I'd

have of either diagnosis or treatment.

In my case, the ENT also looked at my throat, but it was because of

what has become daily vomiting. He was surprised to find no

erosion. This was good news. Of course, pretty much any news, which

is concrete - is " good news " . :-)
