Guest guest
Hi all. Here is another question. While I am not plagued by many of the illnesses that seem to plague so many... (in fact, I have been " healthier " - with regard to not getting the flu or infections in the past year - while my body has just gone to pot)... I am having problems of another type. Docs were throwing around that term all the time when I was frequenting docs and hospitals " autoimmune problems " . The urologist hypothesized that this was the problem with my bladder - and stated that my body was rejecting the lining of the bladder (but he wasn't going to test me until I stabilized - and as I seem to just keep getting worse - that time has never come). Anyway, what my question is... is does anyone else have problems with insect bites? I was blessed - until Friday - with not getting bitten by a tick for a while. In fact, I wondered if such bites were still a problem - as all my older bites were finally healing (after a few months). Well, Friday changed it all. The bite was from what we call a " seed tick " . So small - you can hardly see it. Took my daughter quite an effort to get it off. And, yes... we are experienced here - the head is out :-) Anyway, within short notice, the area swelled and became red. I noted yesterday that there was also a " runner " which went out from the typical circle. Seems this one spread a bit more. Just wondered if anyone else had extreme reactions to insect bites. Mosquitos are similar - with large welts forming, but they usually go away in a week or so. Tick bites - literally last for months. Last time I was bitten by a wasp - it lasted for a year - literally. This extreme reaction has only been occuring the past 2 to 3 years though. This was another factor that encouraged the initial doc I saw last year, to diagnose me with Lupus. But, my ANA never came out positive, so that one has been pushed far to the back burner now. Too many other symptoms have occurred since then, and a diagnosis with autonomic neuropathy as well. Anyway, just curious. Thanks.
Guest guest
, The area you talked about is large area of problems. I have attached an article witch addresses the insect bite problem. Also get that red streak checked out ASAP.
