Hello everyone!

I am going to ask my OS whether I should have a genioplasty when I

meet with him for the first time this month. I am having lower and

likely upper surgery, but feel my chin could do with coming forwards,

particularly if my jaws going to have to be moved back (I have a

class III overbite). Otherwise I think Ill end up with a very weak

chin.

Looking around for info on genioplasty, I found some reports/remarks

that some people end up with a gap, or step-off between the chin and

the jaw. Does anyone know how common this is and whether it is as a

result of the surgeons method, or just something that may

occasionally occur? How did you guys find the results of your

genioplasty, if you had one?

Thanks very much!
