Guest guest
: Miralax was recommended to us to help Terry establish a more regular and easier BM. We were advised that it is OK to use it on a regular basis. It is a bit more pleasant than using Metamucil for example for the same purpose. The normal dose is 17 grams once a day. We found that to be a bit much and use one half to one third as much daily. It has worked well. It is aprescription item. Message: 12 Date: Mon, 09 Sep 2002 18:11:17 -0400 From: jmoller@... Subject: To Carol Langer -- and anyone else with 2 cents Carol, On the strength of a fuzzy recollection that Bob had a good experience with it, I asked a doc standing in for my vacationing doc to write me a rx for Miralax when I was in some distress recently. The pharmacy fact sheet says however that it may result in loss of normal bowel function -- not that there's much normal about mine these days -- and an electrolyte imbalance. I couldn't find it on WebMD. What's the skinny on this stuff? Thanks in advance!
