Guest guest
, I guess the more we know, the more confused we can become. The ones who are always sure are the ones who probably really know the least. I hope that extra bit of information isn't the straw that breaks the camels back. I've found a tremendous amount of information through the net and have even been taking articles into my Doctors, who seems to appreciate them, especially Homocysteine articles, as that is poorly handled here and not taught in or Universities to people preparing for General Practice. The thing about the Ciproxin that is unpleasant, is the Cost in this country. I get a small discount from the Pharmacy we use, because we subscribe per an annual membership fee (Friendly Society), but I have been given enough scripts for the Ciproxin to take me over the next 6 months at $68.00 for 14 tablet. We have a NHS (National Health Scheme) where any person on a full or part Government Pension (depends on income), can purchase a certain range of approved medication at $3.60 per script(may have changed by a few cents lately). The Ciproxin is still available on the NHS scheme, but only if you were lucky enough to have caught Gonorrhea. I think I'll keep paying for it! I'll also mention the Genetic defect to my Specialist, as we need every extra piece of info that could change the outcome and help make things better. You said you will be in touch. Will you still be on line on this site. I cannot recall what NIH refers to. Best wishes from Bill P. -- Bill P>Fwd: Re: Blood Tests measuring iron Thanks for the input Bill.I'll be NIH would like to hear from you.Anyway, thanks for the input. I'll copy and give to my doc. Doesn't hurt to consider this. Of course, I have tons of other anemic symptoms - major blood test results consistent with just what NIH is describing in study. If it is indicative of infection, perhaps that will give them another test to run to check for such. So often, my body throws false negatives on tests...> Pam,> > She wants the serum ferritin assay.> > Bill.> > > Here is what she wrote me:> > Dear Mr. Werre, Would you ask her dr. to perform a serum ferritin> assay and let me know the results?
